Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into a family in South London. She has a father who is Nigerian and Swiss as well as her mother is English. Her family was raised on a council estate located south of London. In the ages of fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned an acting BA. While attending the school was when she performed in various stage plays, including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting journey began with Storm Damage. Since then, she's appeared as a guest for Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film appearance was Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Following this acclaim, she was cast as Elisha on her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as for six seasons Trexx and Flipside. She also had the opportunity to play the role in the role of Bambi on the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in three and two series. Madekwe was a part of the 2008 comedy film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. Her stage credits include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 with her drama The Beautiful Life. The series aired only two episodes before being cancelled on The CW. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. The departure of Madekwe from the show was confirmed in May 2013. Following two seasons as the main character she was a guest in the opening episode of season 3. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star as Tituba on the show Salem. Madekwe got married to her long-time lover, Iddo. They have worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and he also played a part with her on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. The four brothers she had were also present: twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers were athletic and played baseball during summers as well as hockey in winter. Ashley was unable to walk, but danced. In the end, at the age of 2 when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. Ashley developed a passion for dancing when she began Baby Ballet. Until she graduated from the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of ballet, tap, jazz and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. She also won best soloist awards at all important dance competitions including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more.
